At the first glance, production of energy out of biomass by means of digestion seems to be established in western European countries. In fact most of the biomass for this purpose is produced as energy crops in competition to food production.
Biomass out of waste is still not used efficient in relation to its huge potential. If you consider the typically used technology this is not astonishing. Wet digestion technology shows a lot of restrictions for biomass with a high dry matter content. Actually biomass out of (household) waste is existing in large quantities and proper use of it could make a substantial contribution to the move towards green energy and climate protection.
This is exactly the starting point of Renergon technology. Generally most of the existing biomass in the waste sector is found as solid (stackable) state. The different consistencies, as well as the different occurring impurities are serious problems for the existing technologies especially in economic terms.
